We work with non-profits, for-profits, school districts, and coalitions (people from multiple organizations) with 10-2,500 team members.
Both. Most of our consulting is with organizations; however, we have provided individualized support for white people to build their capacity for racial equity in all areas of their lives. That said, Better Neighbor Lab is a great place to grow!
Typically $5,000 to $60,000 - depending upon scope.
We are often booked out 2-6 months, except in the case of conflict transformation, and then we will try to fit you in as soon as possible.
Our goal is to build relationships with the people we work with and we want to strengthen you - not create dependency. That said, there are some instances where we work together for multiple years.
Yes and no. The bulk of our work is with white people; however, there are two exceptions:
- For teams with multiple racial identities, we request that organizations hire a co-consultant for us to partner with (we can recommend); and,
- Sometimes people targeted by racism have asked us to offer our perspectives about working with white people to end racism.
Both. 90% virtual, 10% in-person. We have developed a uniquely human way to gather virtually that engages your senses through rituals, play, and rest. One of our participants says, "JORE runs some of the best virtual meetings I've ever been on." If you want, we share more thoughts here.
